Kurt L. Larsen

Founder & Chairman of the Board

29 years

Kurt founded RMI with his wife, Dawn, in 1992. He has degrees from Utah State University and Ball State University. He served 10 years as an army officer and participated in the Vietnam conflict. Kurt was recognized as a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year program in 2006. He’s been a pioneer in the PEO industry in advocating regulation and licensing standards and helped get Utah legislation passed for the industry.

B. Dawn Larsen

Founder & CFO

29 years

Dawn is a co-founder of RMI with her husband Kurt. She has been recognized as a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2007 was featured in Utah’s 30 Women to Watch in business, sponsored by Utah Business Magazine.

Mark H. Soelberg

President & CEO

22 years

Mark has been with RMI since 1999. He fulfilled a 4-year term on the NAPEO Board of Directors and actively participates in speaking and writing engagements within the PEO industry. Mark is a graduate of Utah State University in Logan, Utah and actively volunteers with the Huntsman School of Business at USU. He has presented for the American Medical Association, the Utah CPA Association, and Utah’s Association for Economic Growth, among others.

D. James Morgan

General Counsel & Labor Law Specialist

16 years

Jim joined RMI in 2005 after having spent 15 years at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, one of Utah’s longest operating law firms. Jim received his law degree from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law as a William H. Leary Scholar.

Rob Wendel

Director of Finance

26 years

Rob has been with RMI since 1995. He started as a payroll manager and later worked as the benefits director before moving into finance. Rob received his accounting degree from Utah Valley State College.

Tiffany Kahn

Director of Human Resources & Benefits

23 years

A graduate of the University of Utah, Tiffany joined RMI in 1998. She ran RMI’s Northwest Branch for a period and then became RMI’s HR Director in 2004. Tiffany is fluent in Spanish and has taught language classes.

Megan Smith

Director of Payroll

20 years

Megan started with RMI in 2001 as an assistant office manager. She moved into payroll shortly after and quickly was promoted as a payroll trainer and quality assurance specialist. Megan became RMI’s payroll director in 2004.

Brandon Stephenson

Director of Information Technology

21 years

Brandon joined RMI’s IT Dept. in 2000. He’s played a critical role in implementing RMI’s modern IT infrastructure & data security. Brandon is also RMI’s marketing, logo, & brand designer.

Neal Jorgensen

Northwest Branch Manager

13 years

Neal has been with RMI since 2008. He initially worked in RMI’s corporate office as a HR Generalist. In 2010 he moved to Seattle and took over the management of RMI’s Northwest Region. He is a graduate of California State University Fresno.

Barry Savage

Northwest Regional Vice President

21 years

Barry joined RMI in 2000 as a Regional Vice President, marketing RMI services to business executives. He is a past member of the Washington Multi-Family Housing Association Board of Directors, a Certified Apartment Supplier through the National Apartment Association and serves as a business representative to the Seattle Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center Board of Advisors.

Doug Hartley

Regional Vice President (Denver)

Doug has been with RMI since November of 2017. Over the past 20 years Doug has worked in the Individual and Group Insurance market and has expertise in underwriting, product/sales management, and HR/payroll consulting. Doug attended Hastings College in Nebraska and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Management and Psychology.

Ellen Bentley

Southern Utah Branch Manager

9 years

Ellen joined RMI in 2012 as a HR Assistant shortly after moving to southern Utah and graduating from Columbia College. Ellen was quickly promoted as the Southern Utah Branch Manager. Ellen also runs a small family business and comes from a long line of entrepreneurs, giving her a natural connection with clients.
